Best Firewall / Re: agnitum outpost v3 - the horror?
« on: December 09, 2005, 01:23 PM »
Hi guys,

Interesting thread. One of my beta testers actually came to me with a problem he was having (random BSOD, depending upon what he was running). After some crash dump investigation, I saw the Agnitum driver as the culprit. It turns out it was Agnitum Outpost v2.7 , he later upgraded to v3.xx and he said the issues have now gone. He isn't happy with all the "garbage" in v3 which is why he didn't upgrade in the first place, but oh well, at least that one bug of his was fixed. :)

Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated. :)

I'll also just point out that I do have some freeware applications also :-

General Software Discussion / RegDefend v2.000 Beta and CryptoSuite
« on: August 24, 2005, 02:29 PM »
I've known mouser for quite a while and he suggested I make a post about my software on his forum. So here goes :)

Firstly I am a shareware developer, my website is :- http://www.ghostsecurity.com

RegDefend v2.000 Beta :-
http://www.wildersse...owthread.php?t=94216

This is the latest beta of my RegDefend software, which is shareware, but it also has a free version. Basically it protects the registry from malicious software, and also lets you configure and tweak the access programs have to the registry if you desire. Why is protecting the registry important? Because it is usually the very first thing malicious software like trojans, adware, spyware, etc modify so that they stay alive on your system. If they can't make those modifications to the registry then they have little chance of surviving.

RegDefend is made to be used by all sorts of people, ranging from people who know little about the registry, all the way up to the experts.

CryptoSuite v1.050 :- http://www.cryptosuite.com

CryptoSuite is a bunch of encryption related utilities, basically covering file encryption with 256bit Rijndael AND Twofish in cascade mode, secure chatting, checksumming, secure deletion, etc.
