General Software Discussion / Re: Print Calender on Desktop Wallpaper?
« on: February 05, 2008, 06:34 PM »
Check out: www.zepsoft.com site. They have a program called WalCal3 that I use. It runs in the tray, and clicking your mouse on a calendar date shown on the desktop lets you enter data directly into the desktop calendar. It has many settings you can adjust, and a built-in "backup" capability. It also allows you to control changing your background images, ability to "see through" the calendar, and lots more. Currently run it on XP 32bit, and really find it useful for my appointments. NOTE: Depending on font size you set in the program, the calendar may not display multiple appointments for the same date. Again, it's located at www.zepsoft.com site.

Hope this helps!

Neither of the TechSmith products show any links for "give away" of them. SnagIt & Camtasia Studio are both only available as 30day trials, unless I'm missing seeing a link for the 'give away'.

D'Peg - by somewareonthe.net - I think. Have used D'Peg for many years, and it has improved continually. It now also handles movies & sound files. IMHO it has about a 98% acurracy (did I spell that right?) rate. It's a bit tricky to get the settings for what you want it to do (on first try), but author is VERY helpful (as is the help built in). Price is pretty reasonable, and sometimes you'll get another program as a "gift" from the author (not always).

Hope this helps a bit.

Have tried many different one. NONE is best. Like Opus, but... WAY too expensive!
