Living Room / Re: Bit.ly is Harmful to Your Reputation

Why can't bit.ly have a list of shortening services and simply stop bit.ly from reshortening them?

Failing that why not warn someone during the process that they cannot posted shortened links and refuse to accept them - at least then the correct link will be posted?

Either of those would work and both are better than name calling.

Cheers :)

what software(free), firefox extension, or web browser would you recommend for those technology challenged people?  Something that can be done in as few clicks as possible.  I have a client that is wanting to be able to download and show offline you tube videos.

any recommendations??

I know real player can do it but I am not a big fan of it.

thanks,
Dave
Hi Dave,

Simple - find a video you like e.g. http://www.youtube.c...HARCiCWO0&fmt=18 and then add kiss in front of youtube - http://www.kissyoutu...HARCiCWO0&fmt=18 and save.

Requires Java enabled browser.

Cheers :)

For those DC members preferring not to have to register for a trial, here's a set of hotlinks to the current (at the time of posting) English trial versions with embedded username and password sets.

Updated before posting but had no readily available way to check other than to mention it...

Thanks for letting me know.

Hi,

Great software - keep up the good work.

Noticed a very minor typo in an alert box in v2.30 and it is possible it has already been fixed.
I expect 'nut' should read 'but'.

Cheers :)

edit: I don't actually have the folder mentioned on my PC but assume it refers to your development environment.
