Can't wait :)

If anybody's still following this, I can add that OneDrive Personal - if you sync up annotated images there - will also auto OCR Text notes and quickly find the files you want. Requires Internet connection, but seems quite effective. I have loads of annotated images ..

Thanks. I have just updated my post. My problem seems to be gone. I used both the scanner toolbar and the save as options before - in the end - deciding to restart the prog.

I don't capture to pdf's. My case is that of saving regular screenshots and then combining them into pdf booklets sometimes.

Screenshot Captor / PDF saves are grayscale
« on: May 24, 2014, 04:16 PM »

I'm on 4.8.3 version still, but not sure this would be causing this. I have been unable to save captures to pdf's in full colour for a while, only in grayscale.. I thought I may have tweaked a setting some place, but I can't really find anything. The scanner toolbar options do not suggest much ..

Any help will be gratefully received.

PS. I have thought of restarting SC and colour pdf's are back :) Could this be a memory-related thing? Anyway, I'm glad I can use the pdf export again!

Thanks for these tips. I was able to connect the two tools just yesterday. My problem was that I originally put both, in separate folders, on the d: drive under "d:\Program Files\DonationCoder_Portables\" . Now, none of the macros described in the *.sctool files exactly helped me, and my hunch is that the problem was caused by the space in the "Program Files" directory name. The %ProgramFiles% macro would, I think, only search "c:\Program Files\" and not "d:\Program Files\" , so I could not use it. Putting in the absolute path to "d:\Program Files\DonationCoder_Portables\EasyScreencastRecorderPortable\EasyScreencastRecorder.exe" , with or without the double quotes around, did not help either - the screencast tool would not load into SC. I ended up transferring the screencast program's folder directly under "d:\Program Files\DonationCoder_Portables\ScreenshotCaptorPortable\Tools\" and now the line

app = %THISDIR%\EasyScreencastRecorder.exe

works as it should. So perhaps you could check out one day how spaces behave in paths defined in *.ctool config files. I was not able to find any examples for comparison on precisely that.

One other suggestion I'd have at this point would be to add the (possibility of adding the) ESR icon to the  Quick Capture Bar and a customizable shortcut option to go with it. Maybe when SCR is past the alpha stage :)

Thanks again for your help.

My problem solved in version 4.7.2. Thanks a lot.

Screenshot Captor / Integration with Easy Screencast Recorder
« on: September 11, 2013, 02:54 PM »

Just read:

Source: "Easy Screencast Recorder - Mouser - Software -".
Website: https://www.donation...Software/Mouser/esr/

"Integrates automatically into the Screenshot Captor screenshot taking tool."

and tried searching other threads and help files and paged through the preferences for both tools, but somehow cannot get to the bottom of this "integration" idea. How does it work - I'd like to mention that I have portable versions of both tools installed. Maybe this is preventing me from seeing something?

Thanks for any feedback on this.

Thanks! Either way would be really neat!

Been a user of SSC for a couple of months and finding it better and better as I discover new things  :)

I do however have a problem with the Preferences shortcut - Ctrl-Alt-o . It so happens that I need this combination for entering the Polish character รณ (o with an accent) and so when adding captions etc I often end up activating the preferences dialogue instead of continuing to type ... Would it be possible to give the user the option to disable or override this shortcut assignment somehow? I was hoping the ini files would have an option but to no avail.

Thanks for any consideration you can give to this request. And thanks for the great apps and most friendly site :)
