Android Apps / Re: Change Font Color
« on: January 30, 2021, 01:59 PM »
I went through it again and did not see a specific option to change the widgets font color. I can add a border, change background color, change the granularity of the time,... and yes you do have the dark/light theme for the app itself. If there is a option, would you share the directions? If not maybe someday when you are bored you can add the option.

Android Apps / Change Font Color

Hi Mouser,
I would like to know if there is a way to change the font color on your android apps. I finally got around to checking them out (I just got a phone a couple of months ago - always had a work phone). I like the "when last" app, but they all seem good so far. I added the widget to one of my home screens but the font is in black. I usually run a lot of dark wallpapers as I have an oled screen; to save battery - plus I like them. Is there a way to change the font color, at least to white?

LaunchBar Commander / Displaying Hints?

Is there a way to get the hints, or notes, to show up on mouse over of an item in a menu? I have a menu of powershell scripts that I have on my launch bar. If I move one of the command items to the launch bar itself, I will get the little hints popup. But when the items are in a menu, sub-menu, I get no hints.
I have the options checked off for the dock, i.e. "Hints on MouseOver"
Is there something that I am missing?

FYI, I love this launch bar. Its way better than anything else I have tried. I recommend it to everyone, along with FARR. The flexibility is second to none. I hope it continues to get developed.

I hope this has not been discussed but I did not find much in my searching...

Is there a way to export and import LBC configs to a file (xml, txt, csv) for the purposes of making sweeping changes or creating LBC configs quickly, or even backing up a config?

My situation: I have rather large LBC config, lots of menus and items. I want to make this portable, or less prone to breakage when my drive letters change or I move things. Everything I have defined points to a D drive. I want to switch to %APPDRIVE%. I was hoping to export to an XML file, or something, that I can do a search and replace. Then I could import into a blank toolbar and have my current config but now everything is changed. Just looking for a way to make sweeping changes without having to do lots of work.
Or maybe a option that tells LBC, if the option is enabled, to use the variable %APPDRIVE% instead of the drive letter if LBC detects that the added app is on the same drive as LBC or something.

I really like the way Farr works now, without an index. I dont want to have to re-index everytime I use Farr on a new machine; I use it from a usb. An option to turn on an index would be an option but how about this:
Have it search the Master File Table just like you search the start menu directory. Why create an index of files when the file system already has one.
I refer you to:
This is a search program that does search MFT. Please check it out. Maybe you can incorporate something like this instead of calling out to another program like everything.
Hope this helps.

I think I like this idea but the way I see it is:
I still think farr should be on its own, likewise lbc; but I think it would be neat to have a plugin or a menu item in lbc to link to the farr directory and "mount" farr in to a menu item in lbc (see picture).
This way farr can continue on its own development path, as does lbc; you can just "mount' farr into lbc. I would think the farr configuration options are still controlled in farr. Lbcs config screen would be the same except the options used to link to farr.
one option could be a hot key overide that, instead of bringing up farr in its own dialog, would set the focus and cursor to the mounted farr - so basically the operation is the same, you would just start typing in the mounted farr instead of a separate window.
Another option could be to somehow share the information in lbc with farr, like the paths of the buttons in lbc. I dont know if this would be usefull but...

I run both all the time and I like the idea of a link, or bridge, between the two but I dont think I want to see them merged into one big program.
This way everyone can run the programs how they like.

I have been using Farr for months now and love it. I have also started tinkering with drag and drop robot. I do have a question about results.
I want to know if there is a way to change the number of results displayed and maybe turn off the numbers dynamically?
Details: I use Farr from my USB stick, and from my computers, as a launcher and a file finder. I have created a menu system for the various portable utils and apps on my usb drive.
It would be neat, assuming this does not already exists, if when I type "menu" to bring up the main menu, as part of the alias I could also add something like "menu +n10 +numboff". This would dynamically change the results window to display 10 items (the +n10) regardless of the settings in the config, and not display the big numbers (the +numboff) but not necessarily disable them.
Again the +numboff would only enable not displaying the number for the alias in question. Everywhere else the numbers would show up like normal. I have a habbit of using the arrows more than the numbers for my menus.
This would help make my menus happy. If these features already exist or there is a way to to this already please point me in the right direction.

Find And Run Robot / Re: Icons are not shown
« on: April 28, 2011, 09:11 AM »
I also have an issue with icons but maybe not the same issue.
I use farr on 2 different computers that I keep in sync with my usb drive. On the xp machine if I type "helpfarr" I get the results with nice icons. On my win 7 system I do the same and I get the proper results but the icons are generic; by generic I mean they look like a sheet of paper with the corner folded down.
