Adobe Acrobat 8 PRO is neither portable nor supported, however by visiting the following site, with a bit of work you can install a fully functional version of this formerly pricey program. It has worked very well for me.

My client, who is cluelessly wedded to OE is now very happy in TB. Here is how to clone OE to TB on a new computer.

Install TB on OLD computer.
Import everything from OE to TB
Go to the TB profile folder and copy it to a thumbdrive
(Help > Troubleshooting)
Install TB on NEW computer
Go to the TB profile folder
(Help > Troubleshooting)
Turn TB OFF
Delete ALL items inside the TB profile folder
Paste the contents of the thumbdrive profile folder into the now empty profile folder on the new computer
Start TB and off you go.

Living Room / Re: Where did your DC user I.D come from?

My last (and, most enjoyable) posting in the Canadian Air Force was with 414 "Black Knight" Squadron. For reasons lost in the mists of antiquity, the Squadron pilots have used the callsign Yogi. I was assigned "Yogi 22", and used it on innumerable flights over Canada and USA, in "The World's Greatest Jet"**

I have removed a cover from the back of my desktop, and have fed SATA and IDE data and power cables from inside, to the fresh air. It is easy to hookup a spare HD for data transfer.

Slightly more hassle than a USB external HD case.
About the same hassle as hooking up a USB adapter.

IDE and SATA speed. For me, it's a no-brainer.

Vote 3 for Gmail.

It is easy to configur Gmail to pick up mail from your regular account.
It is easy to configure your email client to pick up mail from Gmail.
If you specify "leave mail on server", you have an easily searchable, automatic backup to all your messages.
Gmail spam filter is excellent. Spam getting thru' is rare, and false positives even rarer.
Spam is kept for 30 days. Plenty of time for the sender of a false positive to harass you about your lack of action.
No training required!

fSekrit / Re: LATEST VERSION: fSekrit 1.3 shrinkwrapped!
« on: November 20, 2007, 10:49 AM »
I just downloaded fsekrit.zip from <https://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Other/fSekrit/>, unzipped it, and ran fsekrit.exe. When it opens, the title bar reads, "fsekrit version 1.3-beta1:<new document>".

I understood that 1.3 was a final release. Did I not get the latest, or is it a mere typo error in the program coding?

Some pages I visit regularly have self-placed ads , and other links in which I have no interest. Usually these unwanted links are in the same location every time you visit the site. Unfortunately, AdBlock cannot block these.

However, they are easy to permanently remove with the FireFox extension, "Remove It Permanently"
