Hello, I have met that situation before, I later figured out maybe there are some tips you should follow if you want to chang the location of your icons. When you drage icon 1 to change its location to where icon 2 locates, you need to make sure that icon 1 and icon 2 are excatly overlapped while draging, then icon 1 will locate where icon 2 initially locates.

If you try to drag icon 1 to the location between icon 2 and icon 3, sometimes it might be unsuccessful. Hope you will find this helpful.

I've tried the drag&drop, but everytime I drop one, it either goes back where it was or, the one next to where it is going will go to the other side of the circle. Most of the time the one that moves is the one I am trying to get next too.
Leave it to me to have the problems.

I know you get tired of answering the same questions from the same people. 
I know that this has been asked and answered before, but I can not find it anywhere. How do I rearrange the icons on the circle. ie...MS Word, Excell, Outlook all together, or IE and FireFox next to each other. Thanks for the help, again this time. The more I use the program the more I like it. When it comes to Alpha 9, I am shivering with antica---------pation.

First, can you add an option to keep the dock and icons from disappearing? I don't want to have to mouse toggle, or move the mouse to the edge of the screen every time I start to do something. I don't want it to stay on top of other windows, just not disappear from the desktop. Besides my mouse tray is crooked, and the mouse runs toward the start button every time I let it go.
Second, I have been trying to find a way to get my dock to look like the icons were orbiting empty space, no circle or background. As seen in the pic, from this other post.

Thanks for the excurse! Becoming a software engineer myself (although not as advanced as you guys seem to be  ) I really dig getting to know all this.

On a sidenote: It might be a known issue but sometimes CircleDock produces a funny bug on my rig- See attachment for details. It works as intended, only the background Image appears somewhere else.
Funny thing though: If I run any of the applications from my App-dock, the problem goes away whereas on my game dock, the problem stays until restart of the application.

Thanks wreckedcarzz, the tip about the shadows worked. Now if I can just find out the rest. Pc hardware, I know about, programming I am completely lost.

Circle Dock / 3 Questions about Circle Dock

First I LOVE the program, it is just awsome??  Why is there a gap in the circle? It gets bigger every time I add an icon. Second, I feel sure I will feel like an idiot when I read the answer, but how do you get the icons on two circles, or get the spiral dock? I think this has been answered, but I'm not sure what I was reading, why is there part of the start menu still visible after closing it?  Thanks for the help.


BTW: I am running xp pro, with a vista transformation pack installed
