For a great free email program try em client. It can access multiple email services. It will handle large databases.

Super Os is built on Ubuntu and it has priority drivers included, which makes the install easier. The catch to moving from Windows to Linux is does Linux have drivers for all your hardware. Once a techie does the install and all periodicals work then the user can find the menus for his programs easily enough. Browsers and most other internet programs look the same as windows anyway, especially if you are using google or yahoo email.

Allmynotes looks really good. But I use PIM'S that has timers and reminders built in.  :D

I have been trying to leave Windows for Linux for over a year. I am running the lastest Ubuntu on a partition with Windows on another partition. Ubuntu is working for me for the most part. Peripheral drivers are the worst problem win any Linux system. Too bad you guy's don't code for Linux.

I purchased Total Commander when it was WIndows COmmander. IMHO it is a must have program. Ubuntu has a similar program called Krusader, it even has a TC mode.

For some reason you don't like bloated do everything programs, but I do. ZoneAlarm with virus protection, firewall, email scanner, etc. does it all. Why run multiple programs to get the job done when you can run one?

MY mistake. Clipboard is accessing my ZoneAlarm, not the internet.

Clipboard Help+Spell / clipboard keep
« on: February 01, 2006, 06:44 AM »
Why does so many clips go into clipboard keep? They should all go into new unless I move them to keep. Shouldn't clipboard start in new and not keep?

I don't find the international weather page. What is the url?
i've listed on the weather tray review page the tools that support international weather-
i'd really appreciate some feedback on how well these tools support your countries.. do they have a good range of cities, do some report more information than others, etc?

Clipboard Help+Spell / clipboard enhancements
« on: December 24, 2005, 09:41 AM »
The number of running programs should and could be as few as possible. Adding a scheduler(note reminder and ability to run programs) and personal information manager to the clipboard would eliminate having to run the scheduler. Schedulers usually have a pim included. I presently run winorganizer, but PIMEX is the best pim I have seen for my use. The more abilities a program has the more useful it becomes.

Your clipboard does partially eliminate my need for a spell checker. You might add a way to hotkey from a window that the text is highlighted and captured with the ctr-c and spell checked back to the original application. Example.
1. run note pad or any text program
2. write a paragraph
3. highlight the text
4. ctrl-c
5. spell check with ctrl-k
6. replace corrected text in note pad with ctrl-r

Post New Requests Here / clipboard request
« on: December 23, 2005, 08:53 PM »
If I were to make suggestions it would be to look at clipmate and implement it's features. The print and search are probably my two first requests.

Post New Requests Here / AI program for instant messengers
« on: December 23, 2005, 07:58 PM »
I used to run THE FLASH BBS, a bulletin board used from multiple countries. One of the programs for it was an AI answering machine for when the users paged the sysop. It would key off keywords and answer the pager with edible pre programmed responses. It logged the conversations and was a lot of fun when you read the log and saw how long it took them to realize they were talking to a machine. There were multiple responses to each key word. I have not seen anything similar after the web took over the computers communications. It would be a great shareware program to use on the instant messengers. I would like to interest a programmer to program something similar.
