I have one web site I would like to monitor for text (main body) changes. It is a simple site. I would like the monitoring service or program to notify me via SMS, email, or Twitter when the page changes, which it does at most once daily. The programs above are either overkill and expensive, or the links no longer work, or the SMTP setup doesn't include SSL (which is now necessary to send email via Yahoo or gmail), and so on. I am now using page2rss but that service seems to include a delay of up to 24 hours. I would like near real-time notification -- it's not stock derivatives, but it is news.

Anyhow, any revised or new recommendations?

Developer's Corner / Re: Choosing an Installer

It seems that "DeployMaster" from that developer is the installer you are praising.

I'm going to take a look at vcard organizer but my idea that brought me here is: I used to use a product now called Copy2Contact (formerly Anagram). It takes data that is in clipboard and puts it into a contact entry in Outlook or the Palm Desktop PIM or Blackberry, etc. But I would like this functionality to populate a vcf file (vcard file) that I could then load into any PIM I'd like (Google, whoever reads VCF files). So my idea is a clipboard-to-vcf utility that would (like Copy2Contact) do its best to put the free-form input into a contact form, except this utility would not be tied to any commercial product but would populate a generic vcf card.
