Find And Run Robot / Re: always show plugin results
« on: March 07, 2012, 04:50 PM »
yes, but if i do that, i won't have my launchpad function, right? just the tabs.
i don 't have enough buttons on my mouse to have both binds, and if i have to choose, the my favourite programs win out. meaning i'll still prefer to use that, and the taskbar to switch between programs.
or is there a way to show my favourite programs while also showing the results from farralttab?

as an aside, i was sure i had a way to summon farr under my mouse before the reinstall, i can't seem to find that function now. am i blind or just poor of memory?

Find And Run Robot / always show plugin results

i'm looking for a way to have farr always show the results of FARRAltTab. this way i could do away with the task bar completely (except for the rarely used systray).
FARRAltTab is a nice enough switcher, but the convenience of invoking farr and just click on a running program would be great, typing in tab adds another hurdle. i've already given my favourite programs a huge boost in score so i already have a basic launch pad for my programs, but i'm missing a way to quickly switch tasks. i've bound farr to a hotkey on my mouse, and if i could automatically display the results of FARRAltTab, i'd have everything within easy reach.
is there any way for farr to automatically display the results of a plugin without having to type in the keyword first?

could be that i'm just very very stupid, but i can't find of a way to make farr show a list of (designated) favourite apps rather than history.
is there a way this could be done?

basically what i'm looking for is a way to combine the qualities of farr with some of the utility of say circle dock, having a set list that doesn't change no matter what i use, until i insert something in the input field.
i know there's a toolbar in farr, but it seems to only allow textual links, not icons, and i can't resize it to say 32x32. it also takes up space in the same line as input, so putting say 5 apps/folders there makes the rest of farr pretty much unusable.
i've thought about binding circle dock and farr to the same hotkey, but figured that just wouldn't be practical.

curt, thanks, checking truelaunchbar now.

cmpm, that's what i've got right now, though positioned at the bottom (prefer my running programs as high as possible on the bar), what but with the quicklaunch i still have a couple of duplicates.
for example, if i have firefox running, i still have the firefox button in the quicklaunch, wasting space. with one app that's not much of a problem, but if you're running a slew of apps at a time, that's quite a waste.
