UrlSnooper / Recording Java streams

Most of the time the quality is terrible  the system resources sometimes intensive.
But is there any way to record java based video streams?
Are they perhaps stored in cache somewhere on a computer?

Hello I did some research on FLV files, seems videolan player can handle it and to convert using freeware found two programs.
Riva FLV Encoder and SUPER if one fails try the other, not all Flash movies are created the same way.
