General Software Discussion / Mouse Tutor App?
« on: March 13, 2013, 02:17 PM »
I often teach senior citizens how to use a computer starting with the absolute basics. I'm currently looking for a stand-alone app which will help to train them how to use a mouse (left click, right click, double click, click and drag and so). There are loads of web based but these are obviously no good because they assume prior knowledge of how to use the internet (and a mouse) to get to them. Anybody any idea as to where I can find a non-internet app (or even how I could easily build one)?

Many thanks

General Software Discussion / Does this exist?
« on: February 23, 2012, 11:19 AM »
I'm looking for a Rightnote, Allmynotes, Mynoteskeeper portable sort of program but with the facility to drag and drop text and/or image anywhere on the screen ('ala Onenote, Powerpoint or DTP software) I've tried loads of apps but can't seem to find one that fits the bill. Does such a beast exist? Scribus was close but took ages to load and I gave up when using it on a USB stick. Anybody think of any others?
