T-Clock / Calendar does not display on L-click or hotkey
« on: October 11, 2017, 11:15 PM »
T-Clock's calendar does not appear when I left-click on the clock (likewise if I set a hotkey for the calendar).

I'm using T-Clock Redux 2.4.3 on Win 7 x64. "Use T-Clock's Calendar" is enabled, and single left-click is configured as the mouse trigger. If I disable "Use T-Clock's Calendar", then the Windows clock pops up with a left-click.

The only program files I am using are Clock64.exe, then in a \misc\ subdirectory: Options.exe, T-Clock64.dll, and XPCalendar.exe. When I moved the latter file to the parent directory, left-click gave an error message that it was missing.

General Software Discussion / Sell your MS Office 2010?
« on: April 30, 2014, 02:41 PM »
Do you have one or more licenses for MS Office 2010 which you are not using? I would like to buy one copy of Office Home & Student, and two copies of Office Home & Business, with installation CDs. The licenses would be transferred from your computer to mine, of course. Please send offers by PM, and post comments to this forum thread.

RightNote will soon be offered now available (March 3-5) at a 50% discount on Bits du Jour. I highly recommend RN as a very capable note and clip organizer.

I'm going to take advantage of this to replace my wife's Standard license with a Professional license so she can integrate with Evernote. I consider that well worth the price.

RightNote will soon be offered for 50% off in an upcoming deal at BitsDuJour
http://www.bitsdujour.com/software/rightnote

[EDIT: This offer is now active, August 12 -- extended two days to August 14.]

I have used the free version of RightNote for the past year, and I will definitely pay to upgrade plus buy my wife a copy. After discovering RN, I stopped searching for a good note organizer. It has become one of my primary productivity programs because of its hierarchical, tabbed, and tagged notes. The main added benefit of the paid Standard version for me is the ability to clip and import from web pages while preserving most original formatting; other users will find further advantages. A Pro version is also available with even more features, including Evernote sync, also the ability to save entire web pages as a note.

This is an excellent deal for excellent software, now in a new major version (3.0). Highly recommended.

ProcessTamer / How to limit a specific program?
« on: January 31, 2013, 01:37 PM »
I'm having a problem with a specific program. I think PT can help, but I don't know how to set it up.

I use Eudora for my email client. Usually it runs on very low CPU, but occasionally when I open an email message, CPU usage jumps up to 25% until I close that message. It doesn't slow down my computer, but its temperature rises.

I'd like to somehow prevent Eudora from running away like that. Can PT do that? If so, how? If not, can Process Lasso do it? Thanks very much.

EDIT: I should add that there are enough CPU cycles available for all my programs; I'm not experiencing a slowdown due to Eudora taking 25%. What I am trying to prevent is Eudora suddenly taking a lot of CPU cycles that it normally doesn't need -- and thereby prevent the extra heat in the computer.

EDIT 2: Perhaps what I need to use is an absolute, program-specific limiter such as Battle Encoder Shirase http://mion.faireal.net/BES/ (thanks to rasmnick for the tip https://www.donationcoder.com/forum/index.php?topic=13003.0 )  Any comments on that as an option? I'm using Win7/64.
