Living Room / Need a free survey site
« on: October 29, 2007, 10:08 PM »
For my english project I am working on a qualitative study regarding videogame violence and people's cognitions and behavior on it. Because this study has to be done in a month it has to be something quick (like an online survey). At the moment I like surveymonkey but the 10 question limitation is going hurt. I need a free survey site, any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Though this is partially because of China investing tons of money into developing an IT infrastructure.

General Software Discussion / Stupid Copying and Pasting in XP?
« on: August 03, 2007, 05:16 PM »
Well I'm trying to update my files in my backups (just a backup of music and images I've taken). In Vista and Ubuntu the default copying and pasting is smarter. If I copy and paste, I can choose to ignore existing files that way avoiding the trouble of having to recopy and repasting them.

But in XP I can't seem to do that. It just gives me the option to copy over the existing file/folder, copy over all existing files/folders, no, or cancel.

No seems to do the same thing as cancel.

I'm looking for an application where I can tell it to "ignore the existing files and just copy and paste the new ones over".

I've been noticing on the latest alpha on Windows Vista when I launch a program it temporary turns the FARR box into a big white box (where it is) with the FARR symbol. I'll try to take a screenshot or a quick video when I can.

Edit: Nevermind can't seem to capture it via video recording. Though I notice that when it happens on my laptop it tends to be when windows is reacting slowly.
