@vic: your fliesystem looks crazy "C:\DonationTimer\donationtimer\DonationTimer\..."

haha indeed!  :) There's a little "software story" there!

  • DonationTimer   Parent directory for the program
          INFO, IMG, Release
  • donationtimer   GitHub information
          Readme, LICENSE, .git
  • DonationTimer   Destination folder as chosen manually for the solution
  • DonationTimer   Target sub-folder created by the IDE automatically
Program.cs, Solution file, resources, generated output
  • bin      Program binaries
          Debug, Release
  • Release      Compiled executable for distribution
  • DonationTimer.exe Public program

DonationTimer_v0-1-0_KZ.png

There you go, sharp friend!

(Image bonus: Why 7590, then 759? K = Decimal ASCII 75, Z = Decimal 90 --had to make this one for you here )

Cheers & lots of love! :-*

You can use any sound file you want by placing it in the same folder & renaming it to "DonationTimer.wav" :)

(If there's no sound file it beeps)

Local server, 192.168.0.232.
But I only need the timer part, the call to ther server can be done with curl.

Got it! DonationTimer.exe it is with DonationTimer.wav as sound file

I'm @ it! https://github.com/p...domain/donationtimer

UPDATE: Code's finished :)

11
Hi & thanks for your request! It's all possible via .exe :)

4) The .bat file makes a HTTP call via curl to my IoT-server

What's the target IoT server's IP? (to set as default address for your use case)

Cheers!

Vic, most important change needed at this point is to disable the global hotkeys.

Hello Nick! New 0.4.0 version adds an option to enable/disable hotkeys

Download: https://www.dcmember...oad/urlister-v0-4-0/

(As per your request, hotkeys are disabled by default)

Cheers!
Vic

13
Thanks a lot.
Not needed for this time.
It was an incidental need and is solved.

No worries! Glad to see you've solved your use-case

(Still the original concept of "List and Print" in a straightforward tool looks useful to other users... --it may become a proggie some day).

BTW I second the encouragement to your creative ways for requesting what others may skip :) Keep it up!

Cheers!

I need a free software portable to do this under windows 10.

Hola Contro! If you get stuck in your search, I can make you a quickie program just for this purpose

The quickest would be to simply generate an HTML or RTF file for you to print, if that suffices.

Cheers!

Roger that. Next version has them disabled by default. I'm about to do a round of releases with URLister included

Thanks for everything you're doing! I know this is in beta and we're trying things out, I'm hoping the end product will have minimize to taskbar. Regardless, despite having to occasionally having to re-enable it, I love this little piece of software enough to consistently use it.

It's my pleasure to assist! :) New version (0.1.0) gets minimize to task bar & auto-start

Chances are it's out within the next couple days. I'm finally home & giving some love to public coding projects

17
Many thanks for the reply Vic.

My pleasure! :)

Quick question before uploading first alpha as per your requirements. Is this Chrome-only?

Vic, occasionally when clicking to go to next URL, I'm getting the error message below.  Using Edge, by the way.

Hi there Nick!  :)

  • Is the browser still visible (i.e.on screen) when the error happens?
  • Does it happen when you have the "close browser" checkbox ticked?

We can debug this

19
The resulting URL should ideally be launched in a new tab on the source browser window, or a new window.

Using Chrome.

TIA
John

Hi John, sure thing! Give me a day or two to complete this "Drop Launcher" project

Cheers!

Nice work!

Thank you for your feedback! (Quite glad ir works for you & you like it).

Ok, so tried out this version and it will randomly stop hiding the taskbar. See video here.
It works fantastic while it does work though. Better than anything else I've tried.

Thanks for the kind words & actually providing a video!!!

I'm getting freed from work in some days yet chances are a new version comes out soon as I have a very straightforward modification to the code for publishing.

Thanks @ all for participating! It *is* rather valuable since in time you realize interaction is the most precious gift you can make to a person in life  :-*.

Cheers!

While thinking about this, I realized this is something Twitter does already:

Nice observation! :)  I actually like the background highlighting pretty much (chances are it gets added as an option into v0.2+ )

Useful to see how others tackle the problem.

Indeed!

I'm trying to get this baby released yet "regular work" always takes me from the truly important things in life... life enjoying community coding :-*

Given things stay consistent, I'm freed & back to online coding on Thursday.

BTW I still aim at making a living helping others thrive, so let's not discard "traditional work" ends in 2021 for me    I'm doing my share of community coding toward Patreon as well as other activities so I  can again focus on my original project of becoming a community coder & online creator.  Knock on wood. May 2021 be the year of the transition!!!

Cheers!

I'm using rainmeter as a taskbar replacement

Does it have the same height as the standard one?

With auto-hide activated, Windows taskbar is nowhere to be seen (completely gone).

Without auto-hide, the program keeps the height of Windows taskbar blank.

I'm on Windows 10 1909 at the moment. Another computer with Windows 10 20H2

Hi! I began uploading working code to GH :)

While I don't have access to any W10 machine right now, I can post what works (confirmed) on W7 for you to try on W10...

I'd like to use the windows key to call the start menu.

Thanks for the clarification :) GUI is straightforward:

I'm pinging with first public version as soon as it's uploaded (likely in the morning).
