Cheat Sheeter / Re: Teaser Screenshots
« on: September 11, 2016, 02:50 PM »
If Cheat Sheeter is still being worked on I have a couple ideas if you have not considered them:

1. I use some pretty keyboard shortcut heavy apps (i.e. Blender), So having a tabbed interface for categories is almost necessary in those cases to quickly locate what is needed.

2. Would be good to have an auto hiding slide out drawer to switch tabs/categories.

3. Stepping out on a limb here, adding the ability to easily hook these stored commands to a custom radial menu or added into the context menu would add another level of use to it especially since it changes with the program... would allow for a lot of custom menus in different programs with a right or middle click... or again maybe a second hotkey... one for the reference sheets and one for the clickable menus. Slightly outside the stated use of the program, but closely related so I thought I might as well throw it out there. Anything to make getting things done on the computer easier.

In any case it's going to be useful either way, and I can see a lot of uses for the reference sheets alone.

Yes, and that's not far from what I do... except that I title the shortcut to the page the same as the image so that I can match them easily.  However, even though it's a simple task... it can get awfully tedious, and adds a lot of time if you are collecting a lot of reference images.

I am an artist, unfortunately of the starving variety. I
frequently download and use stock images from deviantart.com to use
for reference, but it usually requires credits and a link back to
the page that the image was downloaded from or the user's profile
page. In order to make this somewhat easier on myself I generally
download the image and then save a link to the page as a file in
windows 8.1 and rename it to match the name of the image so that I
can easily find the page again later when I need to find the
information to credit the stock creator.  I am wondering if there is
a way anyone can think of using any of the tools here, Firefox
plugins or anything that could further simplify this process including
other approaches which might work better.

Anyhow, nothing urgent obviously, just thought I would ask. I
know there are tools to download entire galleries which is great,
but doesn't really help with my particular problem of needing to
provide links back to the parent page (not the image itself).
Ideally if I could just download an image off of DeviantART some
program would parse the information and download the images, create
matching named link and place them in a sub-folder generated by the
artist's user name.  Or even use a robot to rip an entire gallery at
a time in the same fashion. Which of course would be useful if I
liked more images than not in a given gallery.

Sorry for the stream of consciousness question. I hope it is clear
enough to understand and thank you very much for taking the time to read it.
