I am dreaming of PC without coolers and probably with CULV processors.

The most annoying thing when you write your code during night is the noise of CPU/GPU coolers.

For sure during 80-90 it was Pascal.
But IMHO Now the best language to start is Java.

If you do not want to publish your software under GNU license use other standard licenses.

There are many popular licenses like MIT or BSD:

Actually I use fresh air from open window (not on the PC).  :)

I voted.

Is it possible to see results?

If not are you going to publish it here?

I tried PaintShop Pro X and I would say I prefer old version (3.12). IMHO PSP X is a bloatware.

y0himba, JASC Animation Shop v.3 rocks!

I used Radmin (Famatech), RealVNC and OpenVNC.  And IMHO Radmin keeps connection better.

General Review Discussion / Re: Educational Software reviews?

On MIT website I found quite interesting children software to learn programming. It is called Scratch.
The thing is this language is visual. And you can create a software using just a mouse. From the other side the scratch language doesn't have some math functions like sin() or cos(), but there are  loops, if-operators and events.

Apart from controlling sprites, you can control sound, analyze mouse coordinates and keyboard input.

It really takes just a 5 minutes to explain basic ideas of programming.

Scratch is a freeware and can be downloaded from here: http://scratch.mit.edu/download
