I am a site donor during donation week/month/ whatever it is. I am a
coder donor if I buy a specific.  I am a donor to whatever I feel I am
donating to and trying to hack it up takes away my feeling that I am
doing the most good in a specific area.  I do not require a cup or anything.
Of course I am not too heavy in the pocket so that is why I feel good
about ANY donation to anything.  I keep a pay pal account so that
I don't need to put my CC info out there.

Anyway, that's my lowly 2ยข  :-*

It broke my heart that they did this and more, it made me realize how vulnerable
all people who are not "free" are. Free being a concept of the heart and mind, but
perhaps not of a governance.

There's another link on that page, also.

For Trout, it would be wonderful to remove it from taskbar and let it run only on the right side in...(I forgot what it's called) - stroke leaves me grasping for words, but you KNOW what I mean.     :P

Out My Window

They look fake but I believe it's because I was shooting in "vivid" mode.  I waited til fawn chewed it's way over to it's mother and then smacked the window....hm....this comment seems familiar.deerDuo.jpg

They look posed because I watched baby graze over to mother and when they were close, I smacked the window.

Welcome Rowsdower.  Is that a mosquito??

I think most here recognize each other's rights to our choices and applaud them (well, in OS anyway) and DEFINITELY the programs written.

ps   I Saw FARR mentioned yesterday in PC Magazine (I believe that was the right one)

WELCOME To Rows and 3 Cheers for Mouser.

I shoot every living thing I can find.  Also some dead things. (photography).  Mainly I shoot landscapes, but occasionally I surprise me with portraits.  Lots of opportunity in this Wild, Wonderful West Virginia place.

I'd like Darwin to come visit when he's at Critical Mass stage.  Our closet needs some SERIOUS attention.  :-\

I only now saw this.  I want to say that I subscribe to ConsumerAffairs.Com.  The first thing at the top of their page says:   To cancel your subscription, please use this link.  You don't have to hunt to find out HOW do I cancel.

They list recalls, which companies are in bed with people in power, scams, health, etc.  It's not all positive nor negative and it is very informative.  If you ever wondered what's going on that is not on the news, this is a nice little ezine to read. It also lists recalls about everything I can think of.

I love happy vibes.  They help you keep a sense of wellbeing which is the only way to be.   Keep on keeping on with 'em.

haha.. I intend to be late for my own funeral, so if you don't mind, I don't mind.

I signed up yesterday for Social Security and will be 62 in September.  I do no coding unless it's in a webpage :).   I love this site and have donated each year I've been here so I suppose next month will be donation month?

I'm in WV on the top of a mountain.   I moved here because my husband is from here and I found out I had oral cancer.  Oral cancer and the miners in WV have more than a nodding acquaintance, so I chose a doctor here and we moved.   So far I'm doing GREAT.  I expect to see GREATER  :)

At any rate, I browse a lot, rarely post and enjoy life shooting things.  (pictures haha)

Glad to see all of you and a big hug to Mouser.

« on: May 24, 2007, 09:55 PM »
I "buy" donationware as well as Windows, the graphics programs of my choice, etc.  I also use freebies. Sort of an "I gotta be me" kinda thing.

I know that this is not what you want but for some quick editing of tags, it has potential.

It is also wonderful for people like me who've had strokes and go all the way around a bush with a description because I can't pull the word up.  THANK YOU so much!!!

I found that the best way for ME to not format the wrong drive is to disconnect the one not being formatted :-[.   Took me  twice to learn it, tho.

you shouldnt have any problems using the same bay for dif drives, i do it all the time. nothing should get confused.  just make sure you use whatever procedure you need to for the swapping hardware.  ie: ide drives in racks need the machine to be rebooted, usb externals need you to use the windows system tray thing to disconnect hardware.

as for accidentally deleting stuff, you could give it clear long name or something.  it's good you are aware of this possibility.  one regularly hears stories of people formatting the wrong drive.  the best cure for this is to pause before you are doing anything serious and ask yourself, am i sure this is the right drive i am about to erase..

I'm not sure that this is the correct place for my suggestion   :-[  , but it is a recent discovery for me and I fell in love with it.  It's a programmer editor  he says, but I do not program and it does precisely what I need.

It is free (donation) ware and needs no installation.  Feel free to move this post to wherever it should go.  (sorry)

I've read Scott til a year ago.  I, too, felt he was boring but I'm not sure I'd say THAT part to someone.  One has great difficulty changing how they are as a person.

Re: AVG, I've used it for at least 4 years and like it a lot. It updates daily, hasn't left me in the cold, virusy world out there and simply works like an antivirus should.

I paid for Works Suite.   It came with Word and some very nice little thingies that I like..(calendar,  can make my own greeting cards etc,) and that is all I need of Office, I believe.  As long as the things like excel reader, PPviewer etc are free, I think I'm set...can you tell I'm not into office work?  Now, photography is a different story. :-*

Living Room / Re: this is the first site I ever donated to... :)
« on: April 14, 2006, 12:12 AM »
This was a first for me, also, in case I thanked no one, and I'm grateful.  I read and read but dont' comment much.  A programmer I'm not.

I AM impressed with the cohesiveness shown here.  *not to mention snacks*

At any rate, I'll keep reading and if I run into anything that I can help with, I'll chime in.

Ok, we have the winners for march's giveaways

Thank you, thank you.  It said..."happiness factor 90%"...haha. Happiness factor is 100%. How could one look a gift horse in the mouth?
