With Panopreter Plus, you can listen to the natural voice reading on the computer and get audio files in wav and mp3 format. It reads files in format of txt, rtf, doc, pdf and web pages, and reads any text you have inputted in the window. It supports many languages. It also converts the text to wav and mp3 audio files, so you can listen to the reading with a portable media player such as iPod and smart phones.

Panopreter toolbar included in Panopreter Plus reads web pages opened with Internet Explorer, and converts the text to audio files. It will read all the text on the web page when no text has been selected, otherwise it will read only the selected text.

Panopreter Plus reads much better with the voice of Microsoft Anna on Windows Vista and 7 than on XP.

Panopreter is a text-to-speech freeware program, it reads text file, rtf file, web page in .htm format and .doc word document, and support many other languages. It also converts such files into wave and mp3 files, users can import generated audio files to portable devices such as ipod, and listen to them while walking, jogging or commuting to work. It's a language learning tool too, students can improve pronunciation and listening with it in language study.

Panopreter reads with default Microsoft voices, on Windows Vista, it reads with Microsoft Anna' voice, on XP it reads with Microsoft Sam 's voice. It works with any Microsoft SAPI 5 compatible voice engines.

The size of the wave file is larger than that of the mp3 file,  why not use text-to-speech freeware panopreter to batch convert text files into mp3 files?

You can use this freeware named panopreter, it reads text-based files such as txt, rtf, doc files and others,  and converts the speech into wave and mp3 files, all for free. It reads very well on my Windows Vista computer.
