LaunchBar Commander / Re: Bug: Icons get switched around

just so you know: I just tried drag/dropping that file itself (rather than the shortcut), with the same behaviour.

yep, what you say matches exactly.

If I can be of any help, let me know!

LaunchBar Commander / Bug: Ctrl+Click works intermittently
« on: March 10, 2010, 09:17 AM »
hello,

well, as the title says, I am experiencing very sporadic success with ctrl+click to open a folder from a folder menu. Sometimes it opens the folder, sometimes not. Sometimes it doesn't, so I click again a few times, and then suddently end up with 7 windows...

Doesn't bother me much (i use right-click+open instead, which works a treat!), but I thought it might be worth reporting?

actually, if I can add my tuppence to this subject (the icon, not mouser's selling out!), I encountered the same issue, which was fixed with a reboot. Symptoms were the same as reported by superboyac (I guess).

This happened when drag/dropping a shortcut from my desktop into a menu in the Launchbar configuration window. It only ever happened with that one shortcut, which had the particularity of being a shortcut created by the installer of an application. Because of this, the shortcut, even though it is visible on my desktop (and that of every other login on my machine, I suppose), actually exists as "C:\Windows\Installer\[stupid big number]\_[other stupid big number].exe".

As a property, it is impossible to modify it much, and in particular it is impossible to change its icon. Could this also mean that LBC cannot retreive the icon information? It certainly tried to use the "c:\windows\..." path correctly.

I case you want to try to reproduce, you can download the related application here: http://www.softpedia...-Inspector-NET.shtml. (I am not trying to advertise for them, note, although it is another rather excellent free application, if not applied to a somewhat specific field). I have also attached the "_[other stupid big number].exe" to this post, in case it helps, but I would not recommend running it in isolation.

'hope this helps!

...and I also would like this a lot, with same options as quattrocchi. I often have to compare folders or shift things around, and for that I like to open all the folders in their own windows (which I then organise using GridMove!!!). At the moment I need to browse to each folder one by one, but being able to do what sri described would be an immense help.

JGPaiva's GridMove and Ahk Tools / Re: GridMove: Grids Here

What an excellent app!!!! Thank-you very much!

...and it comes with an excellent additional bonus: it lets me move/resize modal windows (that I am not allowed to move/resize manually, because they are waiting for another window to be closed). This is something that bugs me everyday, and lo-and-behold, gridmove is the solution!

I am VERY happy with this!!!

Screenshot Captor / Thank-you!

I am not sure where to write this, so I'll do it here:

Thank-you mouser for this most excellent software!

I am genuinely blown away by Screenshot Captor, it's absolutely fantastic.

Thank-you VERY much!
