Thx for the updated Alpha, been using it since yesterday, no bugs to report.

Using at work on a HP DC7700 (Core2Duo 2GB ram, XP SP3) and it's smooth as silk.

Wow, those are cool backgrounds! I especially like the Dual Ring version.

Do you want to include those for Alpha 8 tomorrow? I could feature them on the Circle Dock homepage. Just send me an e-mail at [email protected]. Sorry that I can't help you with the glass type effects. I'm not an advanced Photoshop user so I can't create those kind of graphics.

I think you should definitely have a section for user submitted backgrounds/art etc. Custom backgrounds seem to be popular and not everyone is a Photoshop king I'm going to try make some new ones later today !

To get rid of the context menu for the tray icon, comment out this.MainFormTrayIcon.ContextMenuStrip = this.MainFormContextMenuStrip; in MainForm.Designer.cs.

I'll make up a sort of "kiosk" version of Circle Dock after Sunday and post it on the Circle Dock website.

Just one more quick question tho... I'm going to be running CD from a folder on a server that starts up with Windows for my staff, I am going to try locking down the Settings folder that contains the .ini's to prevent further "hacking" of the dock, will this have any adverse affects? I guess the users will still be able to drag'n'drop onto the dock and that those changes will persist until the program is closed, but will then return to normal on next run?

Hi again.

I worked out that you used C# after the last post (sorry!). I did comment out the items in MainForm.designer.cs and TransparentObject.cs and a couple of others i came across and this did fix the context menu appearing on the menu itself, however the tray icon still had it's context menu. I'll keep playing around, but since i am not proficient in C# i don't wan't to muck around too much in case i break something

I will eagerly await Sunday's new build, if you could assist me with the source after that i will be very appreciative!

Circle Dock / Remove context menu?

Hi just downloaded Circle Dock and i am stoked!!! Great program.

I was in the process of creating something very very similar (although not as cool) to aid co-workers on our IT Helpdesk.

I have one quick question, is there a way i can set the dock up and then remove the right-click menu so my staff can't modify it once I have it customized?
