i'm not exactly what is the problem but ever since i've repaired the laptop's monitor and got it back, the webcam doesn't work and all i get is a grey screen on the display. any ideas?

2
You probably checked the "Always do this for this file type" box.

ok, so it looks like the only thing that needs to be disabled for is the .zip/.rar files

3
What's your OS?

For XP (and probably older Operating Systems) read "Disable Automatic Opening or Saving of Downloads (Re-enable Always Ask Before Check Box)"

For Vista read "Reset Always Ask Before Opening This Type Of File Check Box in Vista IE
"

so if i'm right, after i've unticked what it said, i have to double-click regedit in ??????? and then it will turn back into normal?

is it actually required @ all?

4
Did you try my method? It's a bit overkill but nontheless...
i did and it didn't fix it one bit :S

5
You probably checked the "Always do this for this file type" box.

i believe i did, but now i want to disable it >_>

6
What browser are you using? If it is IE and you don't mind, you can revert the whole browser to its complete default settings via Tools > Options > Advanced (tab) > Reset... > Reset

It says to only use it if the browser is unstable, but I use it all the time when something goes nuts that is IE related.

Hope it helps :)

IE7 to be specific

well, yesterday idk what happened but later on when i downloaded some stuff, instead of asking me, i opens the files immediately. i believe there is somethin checkmarked somewhere...so if anyone can help, plz reply

fo more info on what Toblo is check their website: toblo.csnation.net but in short i'll describe it as "a 3d CTF game which all u use r blocks to throw @ each other in order to defend your team's flags"
now teh prob is: everytime i try to play it on my laptop, it crashes
this is my laptop's property: http://nobleclock.in...re_one_comp_prop.bmp
this computer has no problem running CS 1.6 and GTA: SA whatsoever (besides lagging)

well, one day i decided to put in some new skins fo my WMP but then...when i switched to one particular skin which i dont remember what it was, it crashed my WMP and i cannot get in cuz everytime i do, it freezes and crashes without even giving me time to change teh skin. can anyone help?
Thats same thing that happened to me yesterday, in my case, i was just trying to see the "revert" skin thatt comes preinstalled, so I dont think its a malformed skin. Next time I opened WMP, it was in the default skin, so it isnt much of an annoyance. Maybe I should also rollback to WMP10.

Funny how WMP always finds a way for me to "not like" it, one way or the other.

as soon as u rollback and if a Visualizations installer or watever that u installed into teh WMP pops up, u gotta keep clicking cancel on it like i did and removed all teh skins u installed into it

Probably a malformed skin. Open a "Run..." box (you can do that from the Start menu), and type "regedit". Then navigate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Player\Skins" and you'll see a value that reads "CurrentSkin". Right click on it, and select "Modify". You'll see a path there that should point to your current skin, so change the path to point to another skin, like the default "Windows Classic.wmz" (if you use WMP11, that is).

ok, so now i got it back after rollbacking it to WMP 10 and now it doesn't crash and i manage to delete all teh skins, so i will update it back to WMP 11 now  :-* :P ;) :)

Tom: It works here.. Opera 9.52.
Now that I'm thinking... Could youtube be using different servers, depending on where you're located? That might be an explanation.
papoj1: where are you connecting from?

well...i am connecting from southeast asia in Thailand...we had a youtube ban awhile ago then it was resolved...was about like 2 years or so ago
