i've used URLSnooper in Windows 7, you just have to set the compatibility mode for WinPcap installer to Vista or later. right-click on the installer exe and choose 'Properties', from there go to 'Compatibility' tab and choose 'Vista' from the drop-down list.

This solution has nor worked for me.  Win 7 refuses to install the WinPcap 4.5, saying it is incompatible.  The installation aborts.  When I then try to run the program, an error message appears saying that PACKET.DLL is missing from my computer.  It does this no matter what compatibility choice I make.  Do you have any other ideas of what else I might try?  Do you know where I can download PACKET.DLL?  Thanks much for any assistance.

Winpcap is now in stable release (http://www.winpcap.org/install/default.htm) of 4.1.1, try that version instead. it claims to have support for Windows 7.

New version (v2.25.01) includes the 4.1.1 winpcap installer, plus some other fixes that should make it work better on Win7+Vista.

Still no joy for me, I'm afraid. I've got the latest versions and done everything described above but it still won't recognise a network adapter. I'm running Win7 Home Basic, Firefox v3.5.5.5. Control Panel hardware list shows these adapters:

Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter
Ralink 802.11n Wireless LAN Card
Realtek PCle GBE family controller

I've switched off both Windows Firewall and Avast! antivirus protection.

Beginning to wonder if it's worth it!
