Title: Spell-checking needs wrapped lines?
Post by: rjbull on April 13, 2007, 06:19 AM
Mouser,

I wrote a chunk of text in the excellent small editor TED Notepad (http://jsimlo.sk/), pressed Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C to copy it to the clipboard, then Ctrl-Alt-V to bring up CHS 1.11.01 in spell-checker mode.  The formatting of the text in the view pane was so scrambled it was hard to read.  If I committed word-wrap in TED-NP and repeated the process, the text appeared OK.  Is this a known buglet?

i'm just about to release an update for chs, so im keen to know more about this.

is it not properly wordwrapping in chs, is that the problem?  i wonder if its to do with CR/LF issues.

can you elaborate?

I haven't been able to properly replicate it at home (Win98), will try again at work if I have time.  But, TED Notepad, being an editor, by default doesn't add CR+LFs, so it may well be something to do with that.
