Biohacker and transhumanist Tim Cannon may be the first known human to implant a computer chip capable of transmitting biometrical data to an android device.

During an interview with Motherboard Magazine, the “Circadia 1.0,” an open-source device capable of recording and transmitting body temperature over Bluetooth, was successfully implanted into Cannon’s left forearm.

And how I wonder do they plan on deriving the pleasure of human contact from these mechanical bodies? They're just going to jettison everything that makes us...us? This strikes me as an exorcise in trying to find the right way to do something wrong ... Very, very...wrong.

I am personally not sold on either the idea of the sanctity of being human or the awesomeness of being transhuman. But I gotta admit, I find what he is doing pretty interesting. Even if the device is pretty bulky and a bit silly from my point of view.
