I just got back from a quick visit with my aunt and uncle in Hong Kong and the whole time there, I only checked my email 1x per day in the morning!
Impressive, eh?
Other than that, my only computer usage was showing my aunt and uncle a few things.
So my fellow digital junkies, how d'ya think you'd fare? Email anxiety after 30 minutes? 1 hour? ;)
But then again, I get home and the first thing I do is turn on the computer... I'm totally hopeless in the long run! :D

This weekend, I spent... *counts using fingers*... ~40 hours in a row without using a computer at all :)
-
My ISP went down at some point while I was at work on Wednesday and didn't come up again until Thursday evening, so I was internet-less for about 36 hours. I actually quite enjoyed the time except for one disturbing thing: I couldn't do anything on the computer. Without the internet I found I couldn't concentrate when I was within a metre of the thing!

Like a lot of us around here I spend what many would consider to be far too much time at one or other of the computers.
When I go away on vacation, I'm gone. Don't take one, don't use one, don't give the electronic world a second thought.
On my return I'm back at the keyboard within about 12 hours.
Should probably take a lot more vacations away from home! :o

I don't have a problem not to turn on the computer for half of a day, occasionally (usually when I'm a guest at weekends). That is, as long as I use a cell phone to read e-mail (at lease once per hour). :)
Well, when you are in this business, you simply don't have a luxury to ignore e-mails. Vacations? Without computer and operating internet connection, it wouldn't be a vacation but a punishment... :-[
Edit: Hm, yes. It seems I found a perfectly valid reason to justify my addiction. (https://www.donationcoder.com/forum/esmileys/gen3/1Small/gwizd.gif)

Well, I was 300+ km from home, attending a big family party / 60-year's birthday... and I seriously considered buying a laptop for that occasion :-[
