Title: Goofy Google Search Results
Post by: Renegade on November 22, 2010, 07:07 AM
Ok, this I MUST share...

Check this results page:

http://www.google.com/search?q=iis+7.5+HTTP+Error+403.14+-+Forbidden

Read the search terms.

Click the second result (http://hybridoptix.net/). :P

Search results... You're doing it wrong...

Well it is the site/server that is doing something wrong but I am missing a joke saying that right?

Is it not the same ignorance of what Google bot picks up that feeds sites listing "private" webcams, photogalleries and such? If on the internet and not properly hidden Google will index you or something.

The goofy thing is that when you look for an error, you expect to find the solution. The result is the error, which is entirely irrelevant and useless.

One wonders why, when you "look for an error" you expect to find a *solution*. ;)

I often add "fixed" to error msg/code. Sometimes hits are useful.

One of us had to ... I was stuck on the same thing. But I already knew that the error in question is most likely a default document configuration, script handler configuration, or file permissions issue. So I completely missed the fact that the answer was missing.

Google is known to have many but goofy search results.
I'd recommend Yippy instead.
