hello
I come accross text in various languages in webpages, text documents, etc
I really want to be able to get an instant translation of a word as I read the text, instead of having to open a translation webpage or program and search there
I was thinking something like to be able to highlight some text and with a keyboard shortcut or a context menu entry to display the translation in a pop up near the highlighted text
has anyone come across such tool?
thanks

thanks!
this is very nice, exactly what I was looking for
the only problem is that it's not freeware :( and it seems to consume lots of sys resources

http://www.lingoes.net/ these people offer a free translator program, worth a try, i dont know how good it is but it seems to work as far as i can tell.

thanks
there is also http://wordweb.info/free/ JFYI

babylon uses 3k memory, wordweb 5k and lingoes 1k
I liked lingoes very much, but I can't manage to make the "cursor translation mode" to work (to trigger translate with a mouse click)
also, I doesn't have all the languages I need and it's not that configurable :(

I've used WordWeb Pro 5 for a year or more. It's great  but I don't see how it figures into the translation question.
