Title: Printable weekly calendar app?
Post by: kalons on November 04, 2010, 02:23 PM
Does anyone know of online or Windows software that can easily create colored weekly calendars like in the attached screen shot?  My wife created this in Word, but it's unwieldy to create and update.  She's not looking for scheduling software per se, just a way to print out a static weekly calendar in this format.  Thanks.

Try the calendar function of the lightning plugin for Thunderbird 3 email client.

There doesn't appear to be any way to print a weekly layout or change the color of an appointment.

You might take a look at VueMinder Calendar.
There is a free lite and pro (60 day trial) version.

Link to the comparison page.

The lite will let you print day, week or month calendars.
And either can sync with Google calendar if you would like.

She actually uses Google Calendar for actual scheduling, but the ones she's printing are one-off views for each child, and she doesn't want to mess up her GCal schedule for the printout.  Setting up another google account or calendar might work as a last resort, but it looks likes VueMinder Lite could be the ticket -- thanks!

If you have full blown office, you can try Outlook.  I make similar ones in Outlook all the time, though I don't change the background colors, so I don't know if you can do the full color shading you show.

The bonus here is you can make the schedule in it and it will automatically make and format the schedule.
