Ok, the idea is it's an icon which sits in your <thing on the bottom right hand corner of your screen>. Click on it and a meu opens with the options On/Off/Auto. If you click On, your screensaver immediately starts; if you click off, your screensaver will never come on. If you select auto, the program does nothing and just lets the screensaver come on when you had set it to.

Thanks. I tried checking if one existed but I couldn't think of what to search for.

Nice find, thanks!

Strange but my system is totally screwed and it doesn't work for me (even though I recommended it).
I used it until a couple of years ago but having installed the latest version from the website all it will let me do is set the default screensaver - non of the other functions seem to work. Anyone else having problems?
I get the impression something got messed up on my system when I reinstalled windows recently as I had some problems installing a particular driver (Logitech) and the tool they supplied to sort it out deleted a lot of unrelated registry entries.
Looks like my New Year's resolution is going to be to reinstall again from scratch!

Hmm, right after I installed it I was able to launch a screensaver from it, now I don't? Might be related to other problems my Windows has today though...

:) Try mine!
(https://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Skrommel/TrayScreenSaver/TrayScreenSaver.gif) TrayScreenSaver (https://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Skrommel) - Control the screensaver from the tray.
Features:
- Doubleclick the tray icon to run the default screensaver.
- Singleclick to enable or disable the screensaver.
- Or use the tray menu.
You'll find the downloads and more info at Skrommel Software (https://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Skrommel).

Thanks, works perfectly! :)
What does it need two tray icons for? One looks like a keyboard, the other like a blurry notepad. Clicking it once toggles "enabled", but what for?
-
another cool skrommel utility :)
i don't know if its possible or how hard it would be, but it would be fun if the menu had a list of all configured screensave and you could start any one of them.
ps.
please remember to make a donation to skrommel to support his work, just click his green $ or the paypal button on his page.

:) I uploaded an older verison, please try the correct one now!

Ah, tray icon(s) looking MUCH better now :)
But what does "enable" do? Will it disable the screensaver completely when unchecked?
-
:) Yep!

I've been using NoSleep! for years without a problem. Though the icons seem to be back to front.

SWEEET!
I was looking for a screensaver automatic thingie that would launch the screensaver when I moved my mouse cursor to a corner of my screen.
I went looking and looking, didn't find a thing! Then came upon this thread, downloaded Skrommels RunScreenSaver?
The plan, see?, was to launch it from within FARR ... hahaha, I didn't know that FARR would launch the default screensaver with no added 'anything'!
So, thanks Skrommel for some excellent software!
And, thanks Mouser for FARR! haha, I didn't know I could just launch farr and type: SCREEN :)
