I don't tend to post anymore when tipsy, in years past I've probably regretted one or two drunken posts. Off hand I can't think of any purchases, at least not any I later regretted.
I do however very often play Starcraft 2 online while quite drunk. Needless to say I lose a lot of those games very badly.-Eóin (September 16, 2011, 10:48 AM)
I don't often drink. I can count the number of times in the last 15 years on one hand. And I get drunk even less than that. And I have a firm belief that computers and booze don't mix*, so there will be no drunk coding, posting, gaming, online shopping or anything else from me...ever.
*You aren't supposed to operate heavy machinery while under the influence. Since I can't lift it over my head with one hand I have never regarded my computer as being particularly light.-app103 (September 16, 2011, 11:07 AM)
Speaking of drunk coding, I've often found that when a bit tipsey I actually quite enjoy working on a tedious or mundane bit of code which I was otherwise putting off. Only works for a very low level drunk and it's not really something I would set out to do in advance.-Eóin (September 16, 2011, 11:42 AM)

Gotta agree with App.
FWIW (and all kidding aside) I can honestly say I never met anybody I liked more with a drink in them than without. Especially if they happened to be female.
But maybe that's just me? :)-40hz (September 16, 2011, 06:42 PM)
Psht. You've not experienced some of the nightmares I have in consulting. Some of the code drives you to drink.-wraith808 (September 16, 2011, 07:18 PM)

ROFLMAO! (https://www.donationcoder.com/forum/esmileys/gen3/4Medium/TFR1EA.gif)
That's probably why, when I reached a career crossroad many years ago, I went down the systems rather than the dev path. Especially after a previous three year foray into code development.

I'm never sober when posting here!-Tuxman (September 20, 2011, 09:35 AM)
Yeah, I just REALLY stuffed up.
Normally I stick to easy stuff after a few drinks, but someone was insisting that I pay an outstanding running account. I wanted to wait until I saw them and use my card, but they insisted, so I transferred it. I put a description of 'that shut you up?' and sent.
Ummmm, accounts are managed by the head boss, who I did NOT want to annoy. Unfortunately I did. A lot. I hope this works out smoother than it was earlier. I promised him a case of beer.-Fred Nerd (September 21, 2011, 09:30 AM)

I have no memory of last night, but luckely this seems to be the only place i have posted lol-Stephen66515 (October 16, 2011, 01:04 PM)
I spilt beer in my old laptop while pretty drunk a few months back. Shorted out most of the keyboard and some of the ports. It was alive enough for me to backup however and still kind of works. Except it sometimes keeps typing 6's for some reason where the only temporary fix is mashing random keys until it stops.-p3lb0x (October 17, 2011, 09:21 PM)
Not PC related but one night I accidentally spilled a full pint of Guinness into and old CRT TV. Surprisingly even after turning it upside down on a towel barely a drop poured back out. Still worked perfectly the next day, if a bit smelly.-Eóin (October 18, 2011, 06:09 PM)
