It's interesting to see that some of you have very poor arm support! - ideally you should be able to rest your forearm on your table while typing, to avoid too much strain. I know it certainly matters to me, with all those hours I spend (or at least, used to spend) in front of the computer :-[That's true, it's one of the things that most worries me. With my previous chair, i had several problems with that, my wrist was aching lots of times. But now, i have arm support on my chair! :D-f0dder (September 19, 2006, 04:21 AM)
my chair is horrible, and i've been on the hunt for a proper chair for a while, but haven't found an acceptable one in my price range.I'm very proud i finally managed to find the right chair, it was definitelly a huge difference in comfort. I think it's a good investiment since i spend almost my whole day sitting on it. My last one caused me both back and wrist problems. Funny I never made the connection with it looking like a Devil head. One thing about that I really disliked was that if you have the box on the floor the power button is just low enough that you can easily clip it with a chair wheel or your foot shutting the pc down. That said at least it wasn't the reset button you could accidently hit, that could really mess things up.Consider my angst when my mum bought a dog.-Eóin (September 19, 2006, 07:55 AM)

I'm going to go back to it when I get a floor ring for under it to stop it rolling ;D
pros:
you sit really straight (its very good for your back)
cheap :) (I was looking at @ chair/stool for €400 & it was talking about its advantages over a gymball which got me thinking - apart from preffering to have a holiday to a €400 stool)
you actually get to exercise while you sit - (it can almost be a bit of a strain at the beginning ..)-tomos (October 10, 2006, 06:21 PM)

Here is an anecdote about my brother, which, with minor variations, could be told truthfully about me:
Bernard worked for the General Electric Research Laboratory in Schenectady, New York, for a while, where he discovered that silver iodide could precipitate certain sorts of clouds as snow or rain. His laboratory was a sensational mess, however, where a clumsy stranger could die in a thousand different ways, depending on where he stumbled.
The company had a safety officer who nearly swooned when he saw this jungle of deadfalls and snares and hair-trigger booby traps. He bawled out my brother.
My brother said this to him, tapping his own forehead with his fingertips: "If you think this laboratory is bad, you should see what it's like in here."
