One of my favorite movies of all time.  I saw this as a young kid with my father and was blown away.

a very different film, but that sparked a memory for me of The Inn of the Sixth Happiness that I saw as a kid.
I just accidentally came across it today, and am watching it at the moment -- surprised to see it's in colour (we were late to get colour TV, but still showing my age...)

Amélie  - or Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain to give it it's full French release title.

Probably one of the most unusual and charming "coming of age" films ever done. Audrey Tautou is flat out brilliant in the role.

(Mme. Wallace) -  Do you believe in miracles?

    ( Amélie) - Not today.

(Bit of trivia: This is the movie that inspired Travelocity's series of visiting gnome adverts.)
