The screencasts are for version 2 - where can I get it? I don't see it posted in the Latest Version thread yet. It looks great, and I can't wait to try it out.

Thanks.

Program Icons are a great addition.

I watched the first one, it is very well done and makes me want to start using it seriously. One minor quibble, is it just me or is there no way to pause or rewind the video?

Clicking on the triangle in the lower left for pausing and dragging the rectangle found to the triangle's right seemed to work for here for advancing / rewinding.

FWIW, this was with Firefox 4.0.1.

On a tangential note, with these screencasts I tend to download them first (as the DownloadHelper FF plugin makes them available as mp4) and then view them using an external player such as smplayer or VLC.

I find that this kind of "offline" viewing provides a less frustrating, robust, and familiar experience :)

(I appreciate that one has a choice in the matter though (thanks mouser!) -- it's not always so easy to obtain a local copy.)

mumbling
Wish it were easy and reasonable to produce screencasts with navigable outlines...even nicer would be for 3rd parties to be able to provide separate files that could be used together with the original media to provide that navigability and annotation...

I've watched the whole of the first film and most of the second, but one thing is still not clear: is there some way of quickly pasting first a clip and then the URL it was clipped from? Give me that, and I may defect from ClipMate!

Also: you've misspelled override ("Here you can overide the default directory...").

Cheers

If I want to watch these screencasts (and the ScreenshotCaptor and the FARR ones) in bunches, what would you suggest? Will you consider putting these on Youtube, that would be one way to allow it. Maybe I can watch these on (now-outlawed) Youtube channel on Roku (I have hope there will be an official one soon).

Never mind, I remember ewemoa's suggestion of DownloadHelper in this thread (https://www.donationcoder.com/forum/index.php?topic=26575.msg247961#msg247961).

Looks like I am not the only one desperate trying to make use of CHS.
I was about to delete CHS as all the written documentation did not give me an overview as to how work with it. It was of no help as key information is just missing: i.e Ctrl+Alt+Q.
Why does no one write a proper Help File for it?
At least these two videos helped my finally.
I will test it now.

There is actually quite a useful Help file in CHS.
Right-click the CHS Systray icon and you will see Help as one of the pop-up menu options.
