Windows 10 won't run games with SafeDisc or Securom DRM (http://www.windowscentral.com/windows-10-wont-run-games-safedisc-or-securom-drm)
Microsoft has announced that it will block games utilizing SafeDisc or Securom DRM on Windows 10, citing security concerns owing to a lack of support by the companies that made them.
To add insult to injury, SafeDisc is saying that Microsoft should have been the one to do the updates.

This is actually a fascinating new angle to the DRM wars!

Weird. I hope I don't have any games that use SecuROM and SafeDisc. I haven't delved much into my game collection since installing Windows 10 on my machine.

There are some ON STEAM that use SecuROM. I don't purchase those. And I'm glad.
A couple of examples of games on my wishlist that I've held out from purchasing:
Tron: Evolution (http://store.steampowered.com/app/315440/)
Batman: Arkham Asylum (http://store.steampowered.com/app/35140/) did - they removed it from the GOTY (I'd already purchased it somewhere else because of that)
Blood Bowl Legendary Edition (http://store.steampowered.com/app/58520/?snr=1_7_7_151_150_1) did... but they removed it, so I bought it.
PC Gaming's Wiki has a list of SecuROM games (http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/The_Big_List_of_3rd_Party_DRM_on_Steam#SecuROM) (and other DRM Games) on Steam.

Thanks for that. I do have a few, such as Fable 3. I guess I'll have to figure something out if I ever want to play those again. . .

It took some work(arounds) but Fable 3 seems to be working. And Sacred 2 (GOG edition) seems to work for me, too.
I think everything else I have on that list, I actually own the GOTY edition or whatever version had the SecuROM removed.

There's pretty easy solutions for that ;)
First thing I used to do after purchasing a game was finding a crack for it - with the CD drive I had back then, SecuROM and similar crap sometimes slowed down startup by around a minute or more.

new Security update disables SafeDisc (http://www.pcgamer.com/security-update-disables-safedisc-games-in-windows-vista-7-and-8/) games in Windows Vista, 7, and 8 according to a PC Gamer report.
