Is there a program that will check a CD for song skips or errors in data files? (This may be the last time I ever burn a CD again.)

Maybe Nero DiscSpeed (http://www.cdspeed2000.com/) or CDCheck (http://www.kvipu.com/CDCheck/), at least concerning data files, I'm not sure if they'll detect song skipping, for that maybe an accurate ripper like Exact Audio Copy (http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/) or dbPoweramp (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/) will do the trick, they have a test mode that goes through the entire disc, detecting errors but without extracting actual data to the HDD.

For data files, many cd burning programs have an option that will verify the data on the cd after burning.
For music cds i dont know.

Thanks Lashiec, EAC does exactly what I need. It did require an awful lot of setup though.

Yeah, André hinted that he wants to simplify the configuration process, but time constraints prevent him for doing so. Fortunately, there are a few decent guides around the net, and the most difficult options are well explained in the tooltips.

EAC + AccurateRip = success (I believe the ripping engine in dBpoweramp is better, but it can't rip to single-wave + cuesheet, which EAC can).
