-------------- Barnacle - Add toolbars to your favorite programs. -------------- Barnacle is a global, programmable toolbar that fits inside any window. Change images, tool tips and left-, right- and middle click actions. The actions can be key presses, menu selections, button clicking and window actions. -------------- Installation: -------------- Place Barnacle.exe in the folder C:\Program Files\Barnacle, and run the file. This creates Barnacle’s settings file, and two folders called Toolbars and Images. In Toolbars you'll store your toolbar definitions. Here you’ll find toolbars files for Calculator and Notepad. In Images you’ll store your own images. There’s already one icon there. -------------- Usage: -------------- To add your own toolbar to an application, here's what to do: 1: Create an ini-file in the Settings subfolder, for example Calc.ini, or copy one of the existing files. 2: Edit the file you created and change the class= line to show the class of the application, for Calculator the class name is SciCalc. Find the class of the application by right clicking Barnacle's tray icon and clicking Show Info. Move the mouse over the application you want to modify, and watch the tray area for a popup showing the class name. 3: Now add the button descriptions as described in the Toolbars section below. 4: Optionally create your own images and place them in the Images subfolder. 5: Restart Barnacle. -------------- Toolbars: -------------- Toolbar files are stored in the Toolbars subfolder.
