CompuTech EasyControl is the only product of its kind that uses specially selected 3rd party tools to create an easy-to-use, yet dependable array of applications to help you help your computer. -What does it do? CompuTech EasyControl allows you to do just about any maintenance or work on your computer easily, with knowledgeable support and step-by-step info (assuming you aren't running the Automatic Maintenance modes – no user input required!) Specifically, CompuTech EasyControl can: -Guide you through the setup of the AutoClean and AutoOptimize applications. -AutoClean your computer (automatic) -AutoOptimize your computer (automatic, with either reboot or shutdown at completion of tasks) -Run EasyMaintenance (AutoClean + AutoOptimize, with either reboot or shutdown at completion of tasks) -Run DelEmpty (built-in) to delete empty folders from your hard drive(s) -Open Windows Defender and run a Quick Scan (automatic) -Open Windows Defender and run a Full Scan (automatic) -Download Spyware Terminator* -Download SpywareBlaster* -Check your hard drive(s) for problems -Open Windows Task Manager -Open Windows Control Panel -Shutdown your computer -Reboot your computer -Update Windows and other Microsoft Products -Update iTunes/Quicktime/other Apple products -Update other programs and drivers And all in one central, easy to use program. -How does it work? CompuTech EasyControl uses different techniques to do different things. It uses emulation of (or “fake”) mouse clicks and keyboard buttons to do many things, and some things are simply hard coded (meaning it is designed to do one thing and one thing only). It all depends. 2: Getting started -Setup OK, you have it installed and running (if not, do that now). The next part is quite simple. Assuming you want to use all of the programs features, you will want to run the Setup Wizard (NEW!). Here is how to do that... Step 1: Click on the Setup tab Step 2: Click on the Setup Wizard button Step 3: READ and FOLLOW instructions carefully. Step 4: Be sure that you have opened all programs (CCleaner, CleanUp!, Eusing Free Registry Cleaner, Iobit Advanced WindowsCare V2 Personal, Iobit SmartDefrag, NTREGOPT) before running any automatic maintenance. Note: YOU MAY DO THIS AT ANY TIME AT YOUR CONVENIENCE, AS LONG AS IT IS DONE BEFORE RUNNING AUTOMATIC MAINTENANCE! This only needs to be done once. 3: How to -Cleaning So, you have accumulated years upon years of old files in your computer, only to find out that they really DO lower proformance. Well, fear not, here is how to fix that issue. Assuming you only want to run a cleaning, here is all you need to do (if you want to jump in and get it all over with immediately, refer to the EasyMaintenance section below): Close all running programs (including disabling security software!) Click the Clean/Optimize Tab Click AutoClean Wait while your computer is cleaned. DO NOT USE THE COMPUTER DURING THE CLEANING PROCESS. OPTIONALLY, when it is done, click the Run Disk Cleanup button and follow the steps (this is not a supported feature of EasyControl at this time). -Optimizing OK, so the junk is gone. But what about the stuff you need. You want it to be fast reacting, and to quit making those weird sounds and error messages. OK, here is your fix. And it too, is automatic. Assuming you only want to run an optimization session, here is what you need to do (if you want to do a cleaning and optimization at once, refer to the EasyMaintenance section below): SAVE ALL WORK Close all running programs (including disabling security software!) Click the Clean/Optimize Tab Click AutoOptimize (reboot required) Wait for the optimization to complete and your computer to restart. DO NOT USE THE COMPUTER DURING THE OPTIMIZATION PROCESS. -EasyMaintenance OK, you are out to lunch and need your computer to take care of itself. Litterally. OK, no problem, this will let you eat and work at the same time, but without actually working! SAVE ALL WORK Close all running programs (including disabling security software!) Click the EasyMaintenance Tab Click one of the two buttons based on what you want the computer to do when complete (shutdown or reboot). Wait for the cycle to complete and your computer will be ready shortly. DO NOT USE THE COMPUTER DURING THE EASYMAINTENANCE PROCESS. -Updating Got some out of date programs?
