WELCOME!!!
This program and its code are Freeware. Do whatever you like with it, but if you want to improve the code, I ask that you only use BCX to write it, and I would like to have a copy of that code. You can email me from my contact page: http://www.dcmembers.com/bgmcoder/contact/

******************************WHAT IT DOES********************
When you drag any file or folder onto its window, it performs tasks on those files or folders.

The dragbox is configurable so you can tuck away nicely into some inconspicuous spot on your screen, oh, say, like someplace in the title bar, or in some corner. And there is no annoying Task-bar button or tray icon to crowd up the place.

***LOCK SIZE AND POSITION***
DropPath will "lock" its size and position for you. Just double-click the drag-box to "lock" or "unlock." When it is locked, you cannot [accidentally] move or resize it. You can tell that it has changed modes because the border will change.

Now, when the dragbox is very small, the sizing-handles become difficult and annoying, so you might like to lock DropPath after you've gotten the right size.

***TRANSPARENT DRAG-BOX***
You can make the dragbox transparent, you must manually set the percentage by changing its setting in the ini file, which you can access through DropPath's right-click menu.

***DISABLE THE RIGHT-CLICK MENU IN LOCKED MODE***
You can disable the right-click menu that appears in locked mode by changing m in the settings file to 0. The menu will still appear in unlocked mode. Remember to "Reload Settings" after you edit the ini file. Thus, m=1 enables the menu; m=0 disables the menu.

To immediately apply changes you have made manually in the settings file, right-click on the drag-box and select, "Reload Settings" from the menu. Or, exit the program and run it again. DropPath will assume any changes you make to its settings.

**************MANUAL SETTINGS DESCRIPTION**************
	Dimensions and coordinates are measured in pixels; just use plain old numbers
x = horizontal position;
y = vertical position;
h = heighth;
w = width;
t = transparency (in percentage: 25 is a good number to be barely visible); don't use the % sign
b = border. A value of 1 means you can resize and move the dragbox, 0 means you can't.
m=enable/disable right-click menu in locked mode

**************OPTIONS FOR FILE OPERATIONS**************
DropPath will work several different operations on files.
To set which mode, adjust the CommandMode setting:
    CommandMode:
    1 = Clip Path
    2 = Copy Files to specified directory
    3 = Move Files to specified directory
    4 = Delete files

***Clip Path***
File paths are copied to the clipboard. You can separate the names by setting the listseparator setting.
    listseparator:
    1 = carriage return
    2 = space
    3 = comma
    4 = pipe
    5 = tab

To return the paths encased in double quotation marks, set encase in the settings file to 1. It is set to 0 by default.

You can specify a file parsing by setting the pathaction setting:
pathaction:
    1 = complete file path:  C:\some folder\some folder\somefile.ext
    2 = name with ext: somefile.ext
    3 = name only:  somefile
    4 = extension with dot: .ext
    5 = extension w/o dot:  ext
    6 = filepath only:  C:\some folder\some folder\
    7 = path only: \some folder\some folder\
    8 = drive only:  C:
    9 = short (dos) path

***Copy Files and Move Files**
DropPath will copy or move files to the directory specified in the ini file under the setting of CopyDestination and MoveDestination
The default is the current user's desktop folder.

By default, DropPath will ask for file operation confirmations. DropPath also wants permission to overwrite a file if it already exists. If you set overwritefile to 0, DropPath will not overwrite the file. If overwritefile is set to 1, DP will not ask.
To silence DropPath, set these settings to 0.
confirmdelete
confirmcopy
confirmmove
overwritefile

**************************
NOTES
If you happen to use JetToolbar (or perhaps another launcher) to launch DropPath, make sure that you have the "start folder" set to the folder that contains DropPath.exe and DropPath.ini so DP can find its settings file.

STILL TO DO
-Someday we will add a dialogue box for easy adjustment of settings
-add file selection dialogues for whence to move and copy files
-add support for UNC names
-add slider bar for changing transparency
-make DP stay on top of taskbar (perhaps not possible)
-add possiblity to run commandlines on the files

LIMITATIONS
-DropPath does not support Unicode
-Also, DropPath will NOT *stay* on top of the Windows Taskbar or other "on-top" windows. So if you happen to "lose" DropPath, then you will have to change the settings manually and then end the program with Task Manager or wait till the computer is re-started.
