Check&Get support - THREAD UPDATED

Armando:
I'm just sitting here watching the tumbleweeds tumble by... little eddies of wind pick up dust and redistribute it around town...-Darwin (September 22, 2007, 03:37 PM)

Darwin, was it not for you being frustrated over the whole matter, the verse above is actually quite poetic.. :)

Yes, Darwin is poet hidden in an specialist of Neanderthals' evolution, ecology and morphology...

Darwin:
Thanks guys. Just to update things - I sent a pleasant e-mail enquiring after the state of things and requesting a response. Not a word... This was almost exactly three days ago...

dantheman:
A few years ago, like once upon a time...
C & G would respond to my few emails but it now seems that they end up hitting a brick wall with no bouncing back.
They simply do not respond.

Darwin:
I suppose it's possible that the address that I have for them (support@...) has been hit so hard with spam that they no longer respond. Likewise with web based support and suggestion mail. I'll check the program's help file for alternative means of communication. I'm not at all pleased about the suggestions that Ken and I made going unanswered, but won't mind *too* much if Check&Get is still being developed and if some of our recommendations make it in one way or another...

Darwin:
OK - update: I've heard from the developer of Check&Get. He apologizes for not responding to my e-mails and has made some suggestions for workarounds to some of the things that Ken and I suggested and tells me that he has added the others to his list of suggestions. At least two he highlights as being worked on for the next release.

I am somewhat mollified. As I noted in the note above, I'm pretty happy just to know that C&G is a going concern and is moving forward
