Unwanted character entered in search on launch

Hi I have this problem that sometimes when I use the shortcut key to launch FARR it enters a 2 in the search text box.

This appears to be random and has only started happening recently. Has any body else experienced this?

Running v1.13.02 in win xp sp2

well.. v1.13.02 has got to be a year old :)
