Etymology:
Adverbial accusative of شكر (šukr), thankfulness, from the primitive root شكر (šákara), to thank, to be grateful. Compare Hebrew שכר.

now I wonder how you pronounce it :) (like "šukr" probably, however that goes)
PS it's bizarre if you start typing in arabic (presumably cause it reads right to left) - keys start working in totally unexpected ways - try backspace, del, or return on this:
