Check out Zoner's summer sale -- currently 90% discount, but it decreases by 20% each week.

That makes Zoner Photo Studio 9 Professional £4.64 (UKP), ie. about $8.95 US.

It is a useful suite to have knowcking about - give it a trial and buy quick to take advantage of this price.

Go to www.zoner.com for details

That is a great price. Thanks Carol!

If I were to trust my fellow DCers and just buy some of that stuff because it is dirt cheap, what programs have you folks used, and which ones do you suggest I purchase?

Just bumping this to remind people to take a look.

Photo Studio Pro 9 is quite nice as a photo organiser/editor and has built in simple panorama software. It also deals nicely with RAW images.

I also decided to give their Draw program ago (at <£3 it seemed worth buying without even trying!). It looks quite neat and does a lot - definitely worth a trial download if you are interested in vector graphics.

Humm, tried out the Draw thingy, but must say I prefer http://www.inkscape.org/ - which is free.

TinJaw,

You might well have tried it, but if not, download a copy of Paint Shop Pro from Corel. I find it to have the nicest, most intuitive interface of any graphics program I have looked at. If you like it, go on ebay and look for a cheap version there. I bought a totally legit copy of PSP there for $27 (plus shipping). Now, I have a new hobby. :)

Also, if you decide to get it, let me know. I have a lot of website URLs and other free resources I can give you.

Wow!

I'm buying it now.  I have to admit I never heard of Zoner before.  But as one who has a number of graphics/photo applications I can never have too many in my toolbox!  Looks nice.

Thank you Carol!

It felt nice to have the Studio 9 Pro at only $9 and to upgrade my FREE Draw 4 to Draw 5 at $5

Thanks, Carol

I also have GIF Animator and Panorama Maker - had them (and Draw 4) for free at GiveAwayOfTheDay.

Panorama Maker is redundant if you have Studio Pro as it is fully incorporated.

This is a great deal. But it gets sweeter. If you buy one product you will be offered the others at a big discount. Then google for "Zoner discount" and you will find some old coupons out there. They still work, even after the 90% discount! (try WUGPHOTOSTUDIO1 for 30% off). I ended up getting Photostudio for only $6.xx (I forget the exact amount).

Ouch!

I see that now. They don't make that very clear at their site.

Today you can have Zoner Photo Studio PRO 10 for free for two months at Giveaway of the Day, and then it will degrade to version 10 Xpress. This is a fine offer, but you may not want to take it if you already have purchased version 9 PRO:

WARNING!! If you have Zoner Studio Pro 9 (nine) installed DO NOT install today’s limited version 10, because it will “upgrade” Pro 9 to Pro 10 which you then will loose in two months, and Pro 9 is way better than 10 Xpress.

I agree that 10 Express is probably not as good as 9 Pro. It is a shame we can't find more discounts. I noticed that the upgrade price for 10 Pro is $55. That is way more than the $9 I paid for the non-upgrade ver 9! Good program but not worth $85/$55.
