Idea for Forum
« on: July 06, 2007, 05:07 AM »

why not doing a review-section for programmers? A section where programmers can write reviews about thirdparty-middleware or libraries. Normaly when you need a special library you search the web and find 3 or 4 that do the job. then you take a closer look and you'll find advantages and disadvantages about every library and decide to use one. Why not collect this process and make it public for other coders so that they can get a fast overview over different libraries (example: library uses stl, ...)

another thing would be to present great libraries little known. for example a new (or older) library available on sourceforge, but nearly nowbody knows it....

is this a good idea or something I should forget? ;)

i would love to see such reviews.  i don't think we need a new forum section though, they could get posted in Developer's Corner section: https://www.donation...index.php?board=75.0
