How to use Control Fence
« on: June 22, 2007, 11:23 PM »
What I'd like is to make my pointer stay inside the window of a game I play (MSN... Luxor).  Actually, just keeping it inside the upper boundary would be fine.  ControlFence.exe says that the game's control name is "Luxor Web."   So how do I tell ControlFence what to do?  I checked the top and bottom limits and left the left and right ones unchecked, but to no avail (I am script illiterate).  I.e., what do I enter in the box instead of Part-of-control's-name1,Part-of-control's-name2?  I tried   Luxor1,Luxor2   and I tried   Luxor Web1,Luxor Web2.

Try using ControlFence with your browser.
1. Click the "Show control's name" under information in settings
2. Hold the mouse over your browser and learn it's control name
    Mozilla's is "MozillaWindowClass"
3. Enter the control name into the Controls box
4. Make sure only the left fence is unchecked
5. Click ok to exit settings
6. Make your browser smaller than your screen and try to leave it boundaries
7. Finally when you get bored minimize your browser and take it out of the Control or disable ControlFence

if repeated with a different control name the effects should be the same but it seems some programs don't show their names
so i can't help you there
