Program tonight on BBC Two (UK channel) about the appalling treatment older people suffer in 'residential care'.

As part of the program a group of 40 'oldies with attitude' made a single to try and get into the pop charts.

Their efforts have been widely publicised worldwide by the media and press (mostly following the release of the video on YouTube).

All proceeds from the CD single go to charity so if you can stump up the cash why not buy a copy and support a worthwhile cause. You can find the CD at Amazon.co.uk.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be on the US Amazon website.

I heard the single on the CBC a month or so ago and was impressed! Quite good for a group of people well over 70 years old (if I recall correctly, the lead singer is something like 97!).

... well, in this case when you consider someone "old"? ;D

And considering Roger Daltrey is singing the same song being over 60...

I don't know when "old" is, but middle-aged is ten years older than you are yourself! ;)

Seriously, nowadays age isn't what it used to be. For example, yesterday my mother was reading about Aung San Suu Kyi in the newspaper, and she said: "Poor girl, so young" and I said: "Mom, is nearly your age!". The photograph was made in 2004 (in Wikipedia photos she doesn't look so young), but that was only three years ago!

And then you have the same The Who, The Police, Paul Rodgers (who everyone knows had an agreement with the Devil)...
