Prevent someone from changing screensaver options?
« on: May 08, 2007, 09:31 AM »
Does anyone know of a hack/tweak that will allow me to protect the screensaver setting "On resume, display Welcome Screen"?  My kids turn it off and conveniently forget to log off after their computer time has elapsed...  >:(

Thanx tons!

If you're running windows XP pro, i think that probably there is such a setting in gpedit.msc.

Just do this: go to start -> run -> gpedit.msc -> User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Control Panel -> Display -> 'Hide Screen Saver Tab'
That way, they won't be able to change the screensaver, though.

That's cool!  Thanx!  I'll give it a try.
