Software gone social? Wakoopa is quite clever

Renegade:
I joined the team.  Too bad there's not a way to hide certain apps from being reported.

Got some specialized porn sofware running? :)

app103:
It would be nice if you could hide and/or delete things from your history. It seems to be collecting a lot of garbage.

Self extracting .zip files show up as applications (with the file name), as well as some .tmp files during installs.

There is also some things showing in mine that I am totally clueless about...like an updater for an antivirus product I don't have on my system. It's showing AntiVir Updater running in the background...but I use AVG.

It also seems to treat 2 different versions of the same program as 2 separate programs, such as when I ran an older version of Copernic Agent and upgraded it to the new one. It is showing a duplicate entry for Copernic...one for each version I ran.

Oh...and for those of you that actually do RTFM, it will show that you read help files.  ;D

Perry Mowbray:
I sent them a quick email the other day about a few quick questions:

A couple of thoughts, but first a big thanks!

1. Team software would be better to show stats for the team, not overall, or maybe both?
2. Last version is not correct on some of my software: EG ScreenShot Captor
3. Can you add graphic for Team?
4. Edit Team Name???
5. Can't see what version I'm using?

1. A kind of summary for the whole team would be cool indeed. The whole team section (icon, edit, etc.) is something we are going to improve on in the future.
2. This is correct: it shows latest version of your software popping up at the moment, not a version newer then yours. This will be fixed soon.
5. Good one! We'll have to add this information to your usage panel.

Keep checking our blog for further updates: http://blog.wakoopa.com

* Team Pages are getting an overhaul shortly: I though it'd be neat to see what DonationCoder team's stats are (not for the whole of Wakoopa)

* I'm guessing from this that Wakoopa only knows new versions when one of it's members stats gets updated with the new version.

wuwei23:
Maybe they'll offer a Linux installation someday. I'd love to know what people are using on that platform in order to find the better apps.

Debian has the popularity-contest package. Ubuntu have their own results page as well.

Deozaan:
Anyone besides App103 still using Wakoopa? I noticed it in her signature and just signed up.

If you've given it up, is there a particular reason why? If you've still got it, how have you liked it over the past year since this thread started?
