Free text/file comparison tool?

I'm looking for a free alternative to <A HREF="http://www.scootersoftware.com/">Beyond Compare</A>/<A HREF="http://www.ultraedit...e=Content&pid=34">IDM's UltraCompare</A>

Anyone know of one? Thanks

Along with the payware Pro version, there's a free version of ExamDiff

Although winmerge is pretty good.
I also like eclipse's diff, but that's much more related to code.

A couple other compare utilities to consider are p4merge from Perforce and TortoiseMerge by the guys who distribute TortoiseSVN.  Both are free.  For details see this post:
