front+back controls for objects will be added in next version.
i will have to add options for "cleaning" object files, and for saying to *not* save an object file.
thanks for reminding me that a move should also move the object files.
you can easily (manually) expand canvas size from the new resize dialog - but it's a good idea to have an option to auto expand it to encompass any objects.

grouping, vertical text, text rotation are also nice things not sure if they will be feasible though.
(don't forget that screenshot captor is designed to work well with other graphics editor, so you can always add fancy stuff in photoshop, etc.)

i dont understand request #2.

#4 sounds like a good idea to me, i will look into it.

I didn't mean vertical text - just align the text vertically so that it appears at the top, bottom or middle of the coloured background. That way text can be truly centred in a rectangle.

When you create objects they have handles around them to resize etc. It would be useful to have a dotted outline that appears on screen when an object isn't selected so you can see where unselected items extend to and where they can be selected. This is esp. useful when you have overlapping items where you can't "see" the whole area of the object you are trying to select because it is behind another object. Text boxes with a transparent background are an example - if the text is behing another object you can't see anywhere to select the text box - a dotted outline would allow you to do this.

Obviously you wouldn't want the dotted outlines in the final image - just available during editing.

orienting text vertically in center would be nice, i'll look into it.
latest version uploaded now has +/- keys can be used to move objects front and back.

Wow, you are realy quick in coding !   >:D
First trials works good. :eusa_dance: It's very nifty.
BTW: This works with num-keypad only, what a Laptop not have.
But we have an key-combination on Laptop we could use for this nevertheless  :) no matter.

"space to add at edges" was just my was of trying to say that those numbers mean, i.e. how many pixels to add to each edge of the image, maybe i can think of a better description.

ummpfff, i think always of the Space-key !!!! And tryed all way to press this key in variation. Silly me.

"Chose to increase wich side and how much"

"Add extra space around the picture"

"Increase picture by 'n' pixel. Leave 0 for non"

"Increase canvas size, chose side "

"Pick side and pixel to increase canvas size"
